Keith Hampton - Only Echoes

Recording and Co-Production

As was mentioned in our first newsletter, this recording project was a very special one. It was recorded slowly; usually only worked on for a couple of hours per week on Sunday afternoons, and often interrupted for weeks at a time by travel schedules and such. However, we did not rush the project in an attempt to compensate for the limited time we had available. We took our time, even restarting a song or two from scratch when an idea for a better direction came along. In a world where budgets are tight and people are expected to produce “content” constantly to feed the social media beast, it’s a rare luxury these days to be able to work slowly and thoughtfully.

In the end, the project took over 2 years to complete. It is the longest running recording project that we’ve ever been a part of. And we’re very happy for Keith to finally have it out in the world.
