It’s been awhile since our last newsletter in which we announced the Single Day Singles contest. We announced the winner on Instagram but in case you missed it - we’ll be recording a single for Southbank in November.
“Southbank is a 5-piece band from Austin, Texas with a sound they call “twangle pop.” It’s a blend of 90’s jangle, Texas twang, and power-pop hooks under a big blue Americana sky: witty, melodic, and bittersweet. Indie rock for the barstool intellectual, with lyrics that bounce from the quirky corners of suburban life to the soul-crushing absurdity of office jobs to the tangled, beautiful, messy reality of relationships.”
We’re excited to be recording their next single and looking forward to sharing more details as production begins.
New Releases
There have been several releases since our last news letter which we’re proud of and happy to have out in the world. Cassidy released her first two singles, both recorded here at Electric Platypus. Follow the links below to listen and read more.
October and November are shaping up to be busy months here so we should have lots to share soon including more releases, a new business partnership, and possibly another contest. Stay tuned!
